IsByOwner (IBO) provides a free service, allowing its Users to create shorter URLs to use in the redirecting of longer URLs, for ease of use and distribution to other parties, at the User’s discretion. By using IBO’s services, you are agreeing to abide by the following Terms of Service (TOS).
IBO reserves the right to change or modify any of these terms, for any reason, and any such modification or change will be effectively immediately.
1. Modified URLs (content)
The User may not use this service to modify URLs that link to any content which violates or infringes on the trademark, copyright, privacy, publicity or other rights of any other party; is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, spamming, threatening, or obscene; or contains any injurious instruction.
Any URL that violates any of these policies (or contains any other illegal or otherwise injurious materials) will be immediately removed from the system and, if required by law, User’s information will be shared with the proper authorities.
2. Privacy and Usage of Listings by IBO
IBO reserves the right, at any time, to insert advertising or sponsorship information on listing pages where User’s URLs may be located. User’s contact information is held by IBO for internal purposes only, and will not be sold to any third party, for any reason. IBO may, at some point, decide to modify and/or edit the way listings are presented on its website for ease of use or more effective display.
IBO will send all electronic communications to the User email provided when User registered the URL.
User agrees not to register their existing URL for a shorter URL multiple times. IBO reserves the right to delete any excess and multiple URL registrations after the initial one requested by the User.
3. Access
IBO will use all reasonable efforts to provide continuous and easily accessible access to User’s listing information, including log-in access and forwarding of URLs. IBO does not guarantee the dependability or availability of any third-party product or service, including but not limited to: ISPs, search engines or third party listing sites.
4. Spam
You may not use IBO to gather listings of email addresses of IBO Users for the purpose of spamming, or sending any other unsolicited email(s) for advertisements and/or marketing.
5. Feeds and Linking
IBO allows the User to use RSS feeds for the purposes of linking to the User’s information on the IBO website. We also encourage Users to use the new IBO URL for display on websites, blogs, emails or other materials User desires to share with other parties. User agrees not to post other User URLs for any purpose, unless they receive written permission. User also agrees not to use any other information, pages or listings on IBO for any purpose. User can only use the newly created URL they have registered with IBO for the purpose of distributing their information.
6. Copyrights
User retains all copyrights to their information, and warrants that they have that right. By registering for a new URL, User is granting IBO the right to use, copy, display or distribute their listing(s) or registration information within the IBO service.
7. Indemnification
User agrees to hold harmless, defend and indemnify IBO from all liabilities and claims, including legal and other expenses, that arise from Users breach of this agreement, violation of law, or other wrongful conduct.
In case of any abuse, copyright infringement or other illegal or inappropriate activity, you can contact IBO by emailing #####@isbyowner.com. We will make all best and reasonable efforts to respond to all queries and reports of abuse in a timely manner.
8. General Information
This TOS constitutes the full agreement between User and IBO. The relationship between the User and IBO is governed by the Laws of the State of Virginia.
